Puplic Research Foundation

The Public Research Foundation (KAV), headquartered in Ankara, was established and began its activities on December 1, 1995.

The purpose of the foundation is,

 In order to adapt to the developing world conditions within the rapid economic and social change process that our country is going through, and to contribute to the balanced development of our country with its existing natural, economic and human resources in connection with the basic historical, social and cultural values ​​that our people possess;

  •  To determine the bottlenecks that the whole society and the public sector in our country face in historical, social, economic and cultural aspects, to reveal the problem areas related to these, to ensure that the public, the public opinion and the relevant public authorities are informed about the existing problems and the solutions related to them.
  • To contribute to the raising of healthy, balanced and cultured generations that will be the guarantee of the future within the framework of the historical, social heritage and cultural values ​​of our country.
  • To conduct research on overcoming political, economic and administrative bottlenecks faced by society and especially the public sector and finding appropriate solutions among potential opportunities to eliminate existing problems, to propose solutions for improving public administration and accelerating overall development by rationally evaluating the economic and social tools our country has collectively and individually and by mobilizing potential resources, to present the results of examinations and researches obtained on these issues and model proposals for the benefit of individuals, organizations and public authorities.

Within the Foundation; Public Administration, Economy, Social Structure and Development and Science and Technology Directorates have been established and research activities are carried out in these fields.

KAV also organizes educational seminars on public policy issues, as well as nationwide conferences and discussion meetings that bring together experts in the fields of health, tourism, environment, politics, rural development, and science and technology.

Research, symposiums, congresses, joint projects and publication activities are carried out with various public institutions and non-governmental organizations. In addition to these, scholarships and undergraduate and graduate consultancy are provided to university students, and guidance studies are carried out on book and research issues.

Finally, the Public Research Foundation has formed project teams in many areas that concern the country’s agenda, especially human rights, public health, science and technology, and carries out project work with these teams to solve existing problems.
